Top 10 Boxed Cat Christmas Cards 2020

Below are the top 10 sets of boxed cat-themed Christmas cards!

The post was updated for 2020 on October 9, 2020.

Here are the criteria to be on the top 10 cat holiday card list:

  • The cards have a cat on it (obviously), and preferably only cats
  • Be a boxed set (not cards sold individually) as the cost per card is usually less than buying individual cards
  • Be cute or funny (which is subjective) – if I don’t like the style of the art, it didn’t make my list!
  • There is a message on the inside (so no cards that are blank on the inside).
  • Available on Amazon as it’s easy for me to share links and images from Amazon
  • I only allow 1 Lang Brand cat cards in my list as they are usually my favorite and cat cards from previous years are still available.

My 2020 Merry Christmas Card

I designed a card this year featuring my 12 cats which I painted using acrylic paint on a canvas. Then, I took a picture of it and uploaded it to Redbubble.

Redbubble sells per card and doesn’t have a boxed set. Also, printing and shipping will take a few weeks.

While it’s not a boxed card and doesn’t have a printed message on the inside, I wanted to share the card I will be sending out this year. You can see it here on Redbubble.

Also, for the past 2 years, I have written a holiday letter. In 2019, I sent out printed copies. Anyway, you can read the letters, if you want to: 2018 and 2019. (2020 isn’t written yet).

1. “Snowy Wonder” by Lang

Lang is one of my favorite brands of cards. The cards are printed on high-quality paper, and I love the artwork.

Note: the  Lang “Squeaky Christmas” card is the featured image at the top of the post. It’s on Amazon here.

The Snowy Wonder card is beautiful and feels like what you might see a cat do in real life when encountering a snow globe. The inside message is: Wishing you a Christmas touched with wonder and filled with joy.

The first image is from the box. The second image is a picture of the cards I received (in 2019) which are accented with gold foil.

Snowy Wonder is available on Amazon.

2. Tabby Cat in Snow Holiday Cards

This beautiful orange tabby holiday card reminds me of Pork Chop, a feral cat that comes to my yard. He’s an orange tabby cat with a white chest. For the winter, Pork Chop can live in the cat shed on our deck or one of the other cat shelters.

The cat on the card looks like it is sleeping while sitting and the green scarf is quite cute. And, with the snow on its left ear, it seems like it could be “ear-tipped” like Pork Chop (feral cats that have been through Trap-Neuter-Return get an ear-tip).

The message is “Season’s Greetings” on the inside of the card. Click here to see the card on Amazon.

3. Cat Christmas Cards with cats wearing Santa hats

This boxed set consists of 10 sets of 2 cards with whimsical black cats in different poses. These cards are a great choice if you want a bit of variety in the cards you are sending out.

I like how the red hat stands out on the black cat. Also, the long tail looks mischievous.

The cards are slightly smaller than a standard card. Click here to see the cards on Amazon.

4. Happy Holidays – Cute Kittens!

KIttens wearing Santa hats! And these kittens are adorable and fluffy and majestic! The middle kitty still has a touch of the kitten blue eye color!

The inside message is May your holidays be filled with the most purrfect moments!

5. Santa with a bunch of cats card

Cute Santa with a bunch of cute cats! I can picture opening my front door to be greeted by Santa and this lovely bunch! This card made my list because the cats look so happy and healthy!

6. Ice Skating Cat

The inside message is “Season’s Greetings” on all four designs. The artwork below gives cats the human ability to ice skate.

This is my B. Kliban choice for this year. He was a famous cartoonist with many cat drawings.

The sunset is beautiful as well as the rest of the scenery. The Amazon description says this card is funny, but I think it’s more cute than funny.

7. Santa cat card

Ah, the antics of cats! The inside of this card says “Here’s hoping your Christmas is purrrfect”.

Santa trying to get the cat from under this sleigh reminds of me to trying to capture a cat that is under the bed.

8. Assorted Humor Cat Christmas Cards

This is a set of 36 cat cards each with a different design. You get one of each card.

Whether you find them funny, will depend on your sense of humor. These cards are not for everyone. You’ll want to look at them closely on Amazon, to decide if you know people that would appreciate the jokes on them.

I included this boxed set because of the variety in one box. And I realize that some people will find these cards hilarious. There are cards that I wouldn’t want to give to my parents, but perhaps they would work for the right friend.

9. Too Many Treats Cat Christmas Cards

Woe! Looks like this cat indulged too much in Christmas candy (don’t feed your cats candy in real life). The cat is cute and the scene looks believable.

I put this card on the list because you can order it in different quantities! If you want 10 or 100 of the same card,  you can order your desired amount on Amazon.

The inside message is “The stockings were hung by the chimney with care!” Click here to view the card on Amazon.

10. Christmas kittens in stockings boxed card set

Kittens! Need I say more? These cards are on this list because of the beautiful kittens in the stockings.

The inside message is “May the holidays be filled with your favorite things! Merry Christmas”

The saying reminds me of the first line of the lyrics in the song “My favorite things” which are “Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens.”

Like the cards from #9, Amazon gives you a choice of how many you want to order – 10, 20, 50, or 100. Click here to view this card on Amazon.

This was my list of the 10 best boxed Cat Christmas Cards available in 2020. To be included on the list, the cards needed to be a boxed set, cat-themed, and the inside message clearly displayed on Amazon.
